Gippsland

Gippsland is a region full of natural wonder and fun for all the family. From the 600 square kms of Lakes to the Alpine Hills, there is not a bad time to visit Gippsland.

Here are some of our favourite places to see in Gippsland:

Inverloch

Inverloch is a hidden gem between Phillip Island and Wilsons Promontory.

Situated on the mouth of the Anderson Inlet, the protected waters are perfect for a Family Friendly beach retreat. It’s a great surf spot for beginners and has a jetty and boat ramp for those who like to throw a line in.

Surrounding places such as Cape Paterson, Venus Bay and Wonthaggi are also worth a visit when in the area.

Mallacoota

Without the crowds of other destinations, people looking for a chilled but naturally beautiful retreat are never disappointed with Mallacoota.

Croajingolong National Park is so spectacular that it is recognised by UNESCO as a World Biosphere Reserve. With 100 kms of coast to explore, nature lovers can’t get enough.

Mallacoota’s pristine waters can best be discovered by boat so you can bring your own or hire one to make the most of your time in East Gippsland.

West Gippsland

West Gippsland is easily accessible for a day trip from Melbourne. Connected by the Monash Freeway, in a couple of hours you can be amongst the beauty that West Gippsland has to offer.

In the winter months, Mt Baw Baw is the closest downhill ski resort to Melbourne. With 7 lifts and 25 different runs, it has all your alpine needs covered.

In the warmer months, a visit to Toorongo Falls or the Noojee Trestle Bridge is well worth the drive.

Walhalla is also a great spot to camp if you’re looking at going for the weekend. This picturesque Goldfields town is a place time forgot and with plenty of walking tracks, it’s a great spot for those looking for a little natural adventure.
